MASTER FOOD PRESERVER PROGRAM / FOOD PRESERVATION WORKSHOPS
The program will be taught by Cornell Cooperative Extension food preservation experts. This program is for those who would like to go beyond the basics of home food preservation with the possibility of becoming a CCE Master Food Preserver volunteer.
Participants will learn the science of food preservation, boiling water bath canning, pressure canning, freezing and drying foods, quick pickling, and making jam/jelly using the safest, most updated information available. No prior experience in food preservation is required.
Those who attend the full training and choose to take the exam will receive a Certificate of Participation. Those wishing to become a “Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County Master Food Preserver” will need to apply and meet additional requirements. Priority Given to Educator/Key Volunteers.
