COVID-19 has seen the implementation of social distancing which has created a feeling of isolation for many of us. This sense of isolation is no different for many Wyoming County farmers who saw an early end to the winter meeting schedule and reduced contact with friends and their farm advisers. With gatherings of all kinds cancelled, farmers may be missing conversations about everyday topics such as cropping plans and progress as well as bigger issues like market challenges.
Join other interested Wyoming County farmers, your Wyoming County CCE Ag Educators Joan Petzen, Don Gasiewicz and Debra Welch for an hour, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, on Wednesdays, starting, April 22 to discuss the things that are on your mind. We may not have all the answers but sharing your questions, concerns and hopes with others may be helpful in reducing the feeling of isolation and knowing you are not in this alone.
ASK US ANYTHING: How do I get my garden soil tested? Is Garden Day happening? What Covid resources are available for dairy & crop farms, U-Pick, and Farm Stands? Where can I get honeybees to stock my hives? When will my new hens lay eggs? Join Joan, Deb, and Don at the CCE Wyoming Ag Department webinar discussion on Wednesdays 11:30am to 12:30PM.
