Horse updates…

  • RESCHEDULED Wyoming County 4-H Summer Horse Show: Due to inclement weather, the summer horse show has been rescheduled for Saturday September 18th. If you already have pre-registered for this event, entry and payment will be held for the rescheduled date. If you would like a refund, please contact the 4-H office. The entry form is still available online, and if you did not register but would like to attend the rescheduled show, you can still enter!


meat animal auction exhibitors…

  • Holly will be sending out an email update to exhibitor families this weekend in regard to submitting pictures of projects for online bidding through Kent’s Auction website. Watch your email for details!


Rabbit, cavy & poultry exhibitors…

  • Watch for an email from the 4-H office next week as to how we will be handling the large amount of entries we have received. There is a very good chance that clover bud members will be asked to bring their project animals for just the day of the show and then take home the same day. Stay tuned as we finalize our counts…


Goat updates…

  • Goat Showing and Fitting Clinic - Saturday, July 17, 2021 @ 10 AM @ Wyoming County Fairgrounds- Livestock Barn, *Last chance to fulfill the educational requirement needed to show goats at the fair*


Agriculture Expo Center Open House

  • For Dairy, Beef, and Goat exhibitors there will be an open house of the new Ag Expo Center (cattle barn) at the fairgrounds. The open house will take place on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 5-8 P.M. Clubs will be able to look at the new facility and plan for the fair. Guidelines will be handed out that explain what is available in the new barn and what you can and cannot bring/do. If you cannot attend that evening and need the guidelines, please email Stephanie or Holly.


Youth building fair entry reminders…

  • A reminder that vouchers and entry forms for Youth Building Projects are due with the exhibits on evaluation day, Friday August 13th! There is still plenty of time to figure out what projects you might want to bring to the Wyoming County Fair! The options are endless… flowers, vegetables, baked goods, crafts, sewn items, woodworking and more!! Call the 4-H office with any questions!! Paperwork and department H of the fair book can be found HERE on our website.


Gladiola project…

  • The gladiola arrangement meeting will be Monday, August 2nd at 7pm at Spencer’s Gladiolas (6496 Oatka Road Perry, NY 14530). All tools will be provided for the event. You may bring some of your own gladiolas if you want to make an arrangement with your own! We do recommend youth bring a jar or container if they want to make an arrangement. **Please note, there has been a change in location for the Gladiola Show Sunday August 15th. The youth and adult NYS Gladiola Society Show will take place in the People’s Building. Entries may be brought to the People’s building Sunday morning beginning at 10AM, and entries must be in place by noon.


FCS committee meeting

  • Reminder – the FCS Committee meeting will be held at the Wyoming County Fairgrounds this Tuesday, July 20th at 7pm!
