This program will connect youth with key community leaders to deepen their understanding of how these leaders support agriculture in Wyoming County, NY. The goal is to enhance knowledge about the systems that support agriculture, understand important concepts related to private sector growth and development, and explore public sector services. Participants will develop skills to effectively communicate the benefits of livestock agriculture to the public and engage with community leaders.
Session 1: Communicating About Agriculture - Thursday, May 22nd at 6:00pm, Ag & Business Center, Warsaw
Session 2: Meeting Community Leaders - June Date TBD
Session 3: Applying Learning Through Public Service July Date TBD
Interested youth may apply for the Ag Champions program by filling out a brief online application by May 12th.
