MASTER GARDENERS

We are continuously recruiting Wyoming County Master Gardeners. Training sessions are held every other year in the fall. We will be having a class beginning in September 2018. Contact Brandie Waite for information and registration details at 585-343-3040 ext 101 or bls238@cornell.edu

Want to become a Master Gardener? Master Gardener Training is your first step. Or if you just want to further your horticultural knowledge, Master Gardener Training will cover a variety of informational topics.

Training will begin September 5th and run through November 14th.

Classes will be held Wednesday evenings from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. with an additional, required session on Saturday, November 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: CCE Genesee, 420 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020

  • Herbs, Annuals & Perennials
  • Composting & Soil pH
  • Fruits & Vegetables
  • Plant Diseases
  • Backyard Birds
  • Beneficial & Harmful Insects
  • Integrated Pest Management
  • Wildlife Management
  • Weed Control
  • And much more!

Registration is due August 24th! Class size is limited, pre-registration is required.

This Genesee County training can also be used for Wyoming County Master Gardener trainees.

Wyoming County Master Gardeners are a vital part of our garden programming here at CCE Wyoming County. Currently our 19 active Master Gardeners donate an average of 400 hours per year of volunteer time on various projects such as the Gifted Garden, garden club seminars, Garden Day, community outreach events, gardening classes and workshops.
