The entire Wyoming county 4-H staff is here for anything you and your families may need, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us with your question(s)!

Wyoming County 4-H is Celebrating 100 Years!

  • Order your Wyoming County 4-H commemorative apparel today at ! Our online shop closes Sunday, April 24th. If you have any questions or need assistance making your order, contact the 4-H office!
  • Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 12, 2022, as we are planning an afternoon centennial celebration at the Wyoming County Fairgrounds on June 12th.

Rocketry Series – spots still available!

  • In this series, youth participants will learn about rocketry and flight through hands on learning. We will start will stomp rockets and other simple designs at the first meeting. During the second meeting, youth will use kits to build their own model rocket. Weather permitting; we will launch rockets during the last meeting! Participants should plan to attend all three meetings in this series
  • Thursday, April 21st – Principles of Flight, Thursday, April 28th – Model Rocket Build, Monday, May 16th – Launch Party (weather permitting)
  • Cost: $15.00 per participant (limited to 12 youth; 10 years old and up)


  • The Wyoming County 4-H Leaders’ Association is pleased to sponsor the 4-H award trips once again. Please remember to participate in each year’s 4-H Cookie Sale as proceeds from our annual 4-H Cookie Sale help to fund these trips and other awards. 4-H award trips provide a wonderful opportunity to visit interesting places, do exciting things, meet fascinating people, spread the word about Wyoming County 4-H, and make great memories!
  • Find the Award Trip application HERE Use your 4-H Achievement Book or record sheets to help you fill out the application. 4-H members ages 13-18 before January 1, 2022, are eligible for these GREAT TRIPS!! Please note minimum age requirement for certain trips.
  • Applications will only be accepted via the fillable form via email or dropped off at the 4-H office no later than Monday, April 18th.
  • Award trips are subject to change without notice. All trips are contingent on matching chaperones with youth depending on the number of participants for each event.


  • There are some cookie varieties still available for purchase from the 4-H office! $4/box. Remember all proceeds go back to benefit our 4-H’ers. Varieties available include: Brownie Bear Paw, Lemon Crème, Coconut Crème, Peanut Butter, Raspberry Whippet, Fudge Crème, and Fudge Mint (LARGE QUANITITY OF MINTS AVAILABLE!)


  • Packets are available in print at the 4-H office or HERE on our website!
  • A reminder that commentaries are due by April 25th. Please call the office with any questions or concerns.


  • The next teen council meeting is this upcoming Monday, 4/18 at 6:30pm! We plan to discuss the upcoming centennial celebration and how this group can be a part of the fun! Please RSVP to the 4-H office if youth plan on attending.


  • Scheduled for April 27th has been rescheduled, date TBD.

Market Hog, Lamb, and Goat Weigh-in Information

  • Any enrolled members that expressed interest in the meat animal market hogs, lambs or goats on their enrollment forms will receive a mailing in early April with the program guidelines and upcoming weigh-in information. As long as youth are enrolled in 4-H, you do not need to anything special in the meantime. If you have not started your search for project animals, it is time to get going. General Livestock Program Reminders:

  • Non-Auction Beef Sheep & Swine (Ages 8-18 as of 1/1/22): Youth members DO NOT have to participate in the livestock auction project to show beef, sheep, or pigs at the fair during 4-H shows. We have non-auction showmanship, market classes, and breeding animal classes for each of these species. They are a great way to learn how to raise and show livestock before jumping into the auction program. To exhibit beef, sheep or pigs, youth members must complete one of the specified education events for the livestock program. Pre-registration in the form of a fair entry is also required by July 15th. Watch the June 4-H News for information and deadlines on fair entries. Youth do have an opportunity to exhibit at the NYS Fair. We have project learning materials available in the 4-H office on request.

4-H Dairy Judging

  • Saturday, April 16th at 10 AM: We will be doing the judging at this address: 5905 Curriers Rd., Arcade
  • Saturday, April 30th at 10 AM: The contest will begin at Flint Farms- Route 20A, Warsaw
