Teen Council- A reminder that we have a meeting upcoming this Monday,
May 16th at 6:30pm. Any teens 13+ that want to help plan the activities and
games for our centennial celebration, please call the 4-H office to register!

Memorabilia - The 4-H office is seeking past 4-H projects, and photos to
display in the youth building for this historic event. Please call or drop
these items off to the 4-H office in Warsaw by May 20th.

Barn quilts – There are still blank barn quilts available for clubs to
pick up! Clubs will decorate the wooden squares, and they will be on display in
the youth building for the centennial event on June 12th, and at fair!

Booths – Get a head start on your fair booth! The youth building will be
open Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th for booth setup before the
centennial event, with the option to leave up, partially take down or fully
take down the booth before the fair in August.

Fruit Pie Contest – adults and/or youth can register for this event
taking place in the youth building. Pies must be in place by 2pm on the day of
the event. Call the 4-H office for more details.

Centennial Cookbook – Community & 4-H members are welcome to email,
mail, or drop off recipes for a commemorative centennial cookbook to be put
together and sold later this year. Recipes from club meetings, 4-H events and
family recipes are highly encouraged!

VOLUNTEERS – seeking individuals who want to help make this celebration
a success! Specifically for games, youth building setup, organizing, and
setting up exhibits ahead of time, and more!!
Horse Program

Tour of Wolcott Farms – Please call the 4-H office to
pre-register for this equine educational event! We’re excited to partner with
this successful local business and learn how they operate and tour their
facility! The tour will start at 6:30pm. Location: 4085 Quakertown Rd. Warsaw,

Erie County
4-H Standardbred Day - Saturday, June 11, 2022. You are invited to participate in the
Erie County 4-H Standardbred Day to be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022,
beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Buffalo Raceway at the Erie County Fairgrounds. On
the agenda for the day is a tour of the paddock and barns along with sessions
talking about: Shoeing Standardbreds, Racehorse health 101 (pending vet schedule),
Trainer Talk, Diving in with a Driver, Performance Horse Nutrition (with Purina
Rep), Harnessing Demo, Race Calls with announcer Wayne Teaven, behind the
scenes of the Post Time Show, and activity sheets. We will have the opportunity
to watch the races live! At the conclusion, the Erie County 4-H Horse program
will present the winner of our sponsored race with a cooler. Please plan to
bring a snack and beverage.

4-H Horse members to get involved and enjoy a day filled with fun, laughter, education,
and friendships.

Giant
Vegetable and Gladiola Bulb Pickup!
- If you
registered youth for the giant vegetable or gladiola projects, those items are
available at the office! Please pickup as soon as possible!

Junior Dairy Leaders
- The online
applications for both the Beginning Dairy Leader for students in 10th grade to
seniors not graduated from high school, and the Junior DAIRY LEADER program for
youth age 16 to 19 are now open. More

Goat
Kahoot!
- Saturday, May
21st - The game will be open from 8:00am – 8:00pm on the scheduled
day. The virtual game platform will feature questions on a wide range of
topics. This will be a chance for youth to dial in skill for their goat project
in a fun format from the convenience of a smart phone, tablet, or home
computer.
- Pre-registration
is required so participants can receive the game link via email. Must register
