DAIRY CHALLENGE
- Monday, June 12th at 6:30 PM at the Wyoming County Ag & Business Center
- This contest showcases the diversity of knowledge needed in the dairy industry. Youth can test their knowledge on feeds, parts of the cow, dairy reproduction, dairy products, and cuts of meat. Youth who participate in this contest have an opportunity to go to NYS fair and compete in the state contest! Call the 4-H to sign up. This event will satisfy the requirements for exhibiting dairy cattle at the fair.
GOAT CHALLENGE
- Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30 PM at the Wyoming County Ag & Business Center
- This skill-a-thon will give youth the opportunity test their knowledge on dairy and meat goats. We will have a breed ID station, feed ID station, tool ID, body parts of the goat, and meat cuts. Call the 4-H office to sign up for the event. This event will satisfy the requirements for exhibiting goats (meat and dairy) at the Wyoming County Fair.
RIDER EVALUATIONS
- 4-H’ers who are new or need to move up a riding level must complete a rider evaluation to participate at the Wyoming County Fair! Opportunities are as follows:
- Wednesday June 14th, 6pm at Bridgman Stables, Varysburg
- Monday June 19th, 6pm at Wolcott Farms
- Saturday June 24th, 9am at Diana Henry’s home, Bliss
- Participants MUST pre-register for these opportunities!! Please call the 4-H office to register for one of these events.
SHOWMANSHIP & EQUITATION CLINIC
- Immediately following the rider evaluations, around 6:30/7:00pm, at Bridgeman Stables, 2213 Center line Rd, Varysburg, NY
- This event will qualify as an educational event to show at the 2023 Wyoming County Fair.
DOG OBEDIENCE GRADUATION
- Tuesday June 20th, 2023, at 5:30pm at the Wyoming County Fairgrounds
- Paperwork for the dog program has been mailed to all participants. Please mail or email back by June 12th! Please call the 4-H office with any questions or concerns.
MINUTE TO WIN IT STEM CHALLENGE
- Monday, June 19th at 9:30 AM at the Ag & Business Center, Warsaw
- Open for 4-H youth ages 5-12
- This STEM challenge day will have a variety of activities ranging from building a catapult, Minute to Win-It games, and creating coding with the robotic ozobots! Please contact the 4-H office by June 16th to register for this opportunity.
OFFICE CLOSED
- Our office will be closed Monday, June 19th however, we do still have several workshops/clinics scheduled!
- We will resume normal business hours Tuesday, June 20th. Please utilize the drop box in the foyer for any paperwork!
